The terms for using ShootCheck’s creative jobs and equipment marketplace.

ShootCheck is operated by AARA Entertainments, 12 Cody Road, London E16 4SR, United Kingdom. These terms cover the website and mobile apps. The contact details below can be used for questions or complaints.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 to create or use an account. If you are 16 or 17, involve a parent or guardian before entering a paid engagement or equipment transaction where their consent or assistance is needed. Give accurate information, protect your sign-in details and use only accounts you are authorised to access. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your experience.
Our role
ShootCheck helps clients post creative work, professionals apply and people list equipment for sale or hire. We are not the employer, creative-service supplier, equipment owner, insurer or escrow provider unless expressly stated for a particular transaction. Users are responsible for checking suitability, identity, permissions, insurance, equipment condition and the details of their arrangement. Example profiles, briefs and listings are demonstrations and are not offers from real counterparties.
Jobs and bookings
Agree the scope, date, location, deliverables, price, expenses, intellectual-property rights, cancellation arrangements and safety requirements before starting work. An enquiry or application does not guarantee a booking. A booking request needs acceptance by the other party. Jobs close to applications at their scheduled start, remain archived for five days, and then disappear from job and application pages. Required payment, booking, dispute and security records may remain restricted. Do not post discriminatory, unsafe, misleading or unlawful work.
Equipment listings
Describe ownership, condition, defects, included accessories, price and sale or hire terms accurately. Do not list stolen, counterfeit or unlawful items. Buyers and hirers should inspect equipment and agree payment, collection, return, deposits and responsibility for damage directly with the owner. ShootCheck does not guarantee a listing or insure the transaction.
Professional subscription
New Professional subscriptions cost £14.99 per month in GBP, charged immediately and renewed monthly until cancelled. No introductory trial or promotional subscription price applies to new purchases. Existing subscribers retain the terms they agreed. Cancel future renewal through Settings → Manage billing before the next payment date; access continues until the paid period ends. The checkout shows the total platform price before you authorise payment.
Consumer cancellation rights
Where you purchase as a UK consumer, you normally have 14 days from entering the service contract to request cancellation. Contact info@shootcheck.app with your name, account email, purchase date and a statement that you wish to cancel; no special form is required. You may use: “I give notice that I cancel my SHOOTCHECK subscription, purchased on [date], account [email], name [name].” Cancelling renewal in billing settings stops future payments; contact support separately for a cooling-off refund. Statutory rights are not waived by using the service.
Charges, cancellation and refunds
Any enabled platform charge is shown before you confirm a purchase on the website. Do not proceed if you disagree with the price. The mobile apps do not include payment checkout. Charges for creative work and equipment are agreed separately with the relevant professional or owner. Contact support about duplicate, incorrect or failed platform charges. Any statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected; nothing here makes all payments non-refundable.
Your content and permissions
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant AARA Entertainments a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and transmit that content as needed to operate ShootCheck, including through service providers. You must hold the necessary copyright, image and other permissions and have authority to publish personal information. This licence does not transfer ownership or permit unrelated advertising use of your work.
Acceptable use and safety
Do not post illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit or exploitative content, threats, scams, spam or material that infringes another person’s rights. Do not harass users, solicit inappropriate contact with minors, bypass access controls or misuse personal information. Use the reporting and blocking controls, and contact support for content concerns or appeals. We may restrict or remove content and accounts for safety, legal reasons or breaches of these terms.
Privacy and closing your account
Our Privacy notice explains how information is used. Privacy choices explains how to request account deletion or exercise data rights. Closing an account does not cancel obligations to other users or prevent retention of information that is required for a lawful reason.
Service availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care in providing the platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or the conduct of other users. You are responsible for arrangements you make with them. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Apple app licence
For the iOS and iPadOS app, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the app licence alongside these marketplace terms. Apple is not the provider of ShootCheck’s marketplace services.

These terms may be updated as the service changes; material changes will be communicated appropriately. Mandatory rights and protections under the law applicable to you continue to apply.
